I like to begin by listening.
Tell me about the pieces you love, the room everyone gravitates toward, and the dining table you wish you used more often. Tell me what feels comfortable and what has never quite worked.
From there, we can begin to consider the layout, color, furnishings, and light that will make the space feel right. Sometimes that means bringing in something new. Sometimes it means finding a better place for something you have loved for years.

Interior Design Consultations
If you have been collecting ideas but are unsure how to bring them together, a consultation is a lovely place to begin.
We can look at a room together, talk through your questions, and establish a direction. That might mean considering a furniture arrangement, choosing a color palette, thinking through lighting, or deciding which changes deserve your attention first.
You do not need to have it all figured out before we talk.
Room Refreshes
Often, there is already so much to work with.
A favorite sofa, a family piece, or a painting you have always loved can give us a starting point. We can reconsider the arrangement, introduce new fabrics and lighting, and work through the details that help the room feel more complete.
A refresh is an opportunity to make your home feel comfortable and familiar while giving it a new sense of life.

When you are ready to bring several rooms—or a whole home—together, I can help establish a complete design direction and work through the decisions with you.
We will define the scope of your project, including the selections, coordination, and finishing support it needs. We will also discuss budget, timing, and responsibilities at the beginning, so you have a clear understanding of how we will work together.

A Little About Me
I’m Mary Catherine Fraley, though most people know me as Missy.
My background includes education in architecture and interior design and running my own interior design business. Food and hospitality have also been a significant part of my working life, and they continue to influence the way I see a home.
When I look at a dining room, I imagine the evening unfolding: where guests will sit, how the table will be lit, and whether everyone will be comfortable enough to stay for one more story.
That connection between a room and the people in it is at the heart of French Magnolia Interiors. I want to help you create spaces you enjoy every day and feel happy sharing with others.
