French Magnolia Interiors

Beautifully Considered Interiors for Living and Hospitality

Residential and boutique hospitality interior design serving Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, and Williamson County, Tennessee.

There is something wonderful about walking into a home and immediately feeling welcome. A comfortable chair. A beautiful old table. Light falling across a room in the late afternoon. Somewhere to set your glass and settle into a conversation.

Those are the things I think about when I design a space. How will you live here? Who will gather around your table? What do you already own that you could never imagine parting with?

At French Magnolia Interiors, I help clients throughout Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, and Williamson County create homes that feel beautiful, comfortable, and unmistakably their own. My work ranges from bringing a fresh perspective to a single room to developing a complete interior design plan.

That same philosophy extends to hospitality spaces. Whether designing a private residence or a boutique hotel, I believe thoughtful interiors should be beautiful to experience, comfortable to inhabit, and reflective of the people and places that give them character.

Let’s Talk About Your Space

Beautiful Rooms Begin With the Way You Live

Perhaps you have a room that never quite feels finished. Perhaps you are moving into a new home and wondering where to begin. Or perhaps your life has changed, and you would like your surroundings to change with it.

I like to begin by listening.

Tell me about the pieces you love, the room everyone gravitates toward, and the dining table you wish you used more often. Tell me what feels comfortable and what has never quite worked.

From there, we can begin to consider the layout, color, furnishings, and light that will make the space feel right. Sometimes that means bringing in something new. Sometimes it means finding a better place for something you have loved for years.

French influence and Southern hospitality are part of the French Magnolia world. Your own history, taste, and daily life are what make your home yours.

For me, thoughtful design begins with understanding how a space should feel and function. Whether creating a comfortable family home or welcoming guests into a boutique hotel, every decision should contribute to an environment that feels natural, inviting, and thoughtfully considered.

Interior Design Consultations

If you have been collecting ideas but are unsure how to bring them together, a consultation is a lovely place to begin.

We can look at a room together, talk through your questions, and establish a direction. That might mean considering a furniture arrangement, choosing a color palette, thinking through lighting, or deciding which changes deserve your attention first.

You do not need to have it all figured out before we talk.

Room Refreshes

Often, there is already so much to work with.

A favorite sofa, a family piece, or a painting you have always loved can give us a starting point. We can reconsider the arrangement, introduce new fabrics and lighting, and work through the details that help the room feel more complete.

A refresh is an opportunity to make your home feel comfortable and familiar while giving it a new sense of life.

Furnishings and Styling

I love the conversation between the things in a room—the shape of a chair beside a table, the texture of linen against wood, the way a lamp changes a corner in the evening.

Together, we can select and arrange furniture, rugs, lighting, textiles, artwork, and accessories with attention to both beauty and everyday use.

There should be room for the things that mean something to you. They are often what give a home its character.

Full-Service Interior Design

When you are ready to bring several rooms—or a whole home—together, I can help establish a complete design direction and work through the decisions with you.

We will define the scope of your project, including the selections, coordination, and finishing support it needs. We will also discuss budget, timing, and responsibilities at the beginning, so you have a clear understanding of how we will work together.

Our Approach

A Thoughtful Approach to Every Space

Every project begins with a conversation. I believe the most beautiful interiors emerge from understanding the people who will experience them, the character of the property, and the details that make a space feel truly special.

Whether we're working on a private residence or a hospitality environment, my approach is personal, collaborative, and guided by the individual needs of each project.

1 — Discover

It Begins With Listening

We begin by discussing your vision, how the space will be used, what inspires you, and what you hope to accomplish. We'll explore your priorities, budget, and timeline to establish a thoughtful direction for your project.

2 — Design

Bringing Your Vision Together

From spatial arrangements and furnishings to colors, materials, lighting, and finishing details, I develop a cohesive design direction that balances beauty with purpose.

Every selection should contribute to the character and experience of the space.

3 — Bring It Together

The Beauty Is in the Details

Depending on the scope of your project, I help coordinate selections, furnishings, styling, and installation to bring the design together.

The goal is a finished environment that feels natural, welcoming, and thoughtfully considered.

Meet Missy Fraley

The Woman Behind French Magnolia

I’m Missy Fraley, founder and designer behind French Magnolia.

Born and raised in the South with deep French roots, I’ve always been drawn to beautiful spaces, meaningful gatherings, and the details that make people feel welcome.

My education in architecture and interior design led me to establish MC Interiors, where I spent more than a decade working with clients in New York City, Atlanta, and Charleston. That experience shaped my appreciation for architecture, furnishings, materials, and the personal stories that give interiors their character.

My career also took me into professional kitchens and hospitality, where I developed an even deeper understanding of how people experience their surroundings.

Missy Fraley, French Magnolia Interiors

Today, I bring those two worlds together through French Magnolia Interiors, designing residential and boutique hospitality spaces with an appreciation for beauty, comfort, functionality, and gracious living.

I believe the most beautiful interiors aren't simply admired. They're experienced, enjoyed, and remembered.
